Photos from Glory 37: Wilnis vs. Adesanya

The Striking Corner’s very own photographer, Victor Alvarez was on hand at Glory 37’s first card of 2017, which took place on Friday, January 20th, 2017 in Los Angeles.

As with every Glory event, the night was full of fast paced action, some upsets, some surprises, and a little controversy. But overall Glory’s first show of 2017 was solid with great matchups such as Matt Embree vs. Robin Van Rossmalen and the Glory Middleweight title fight between Jason Wilnis and rising star, Israel Adesanya.

Check out the great images form our photographer Victor Alvarez in the slideshow below.

Episode 44 – Fabio Pinca

It’s 2017 and we are starting off the New Year with an epic episode featuring none other than one of the top Muay Thai fighters in the world and our 2016 Striking Corner Fighter of the Year, Fabio Pinca! In this episode Fabio talks to Vinny and Eric about his success in 2016, his upcoming fight for the Rajadamnern Stadium title, how he got into Muay Thai, and why he favors Italian cuisine over French cuisine. We appreciate the effort Fabio made to have a conversation with us despite English not being his first language. A Champion in the ring and a gentleman outside of it, it was an honor talking to one of the best foreign nakmuays to step into the ring. Enjoy!

A huge fan of K1/Glory rules Kickboxing, we talk to Anoop about the recent Glory Collision card, Enfusion, how promotions can better broadcast their product, and so much more! We also talk a bit about how screwdrivers seem to be the weapon of choice in street fights in the UK, how Eric has never been to a strip club, and other such nonsense. We had fun with this one and lost track of time a bit! Enjoy!

Episode 41 – Christopher Romulo

In this episode Vinny & Eric once again invite East Coast Muay Thai legend, owner of Crom Physical Culture, and just all around ambassador of American Muay Thai, Chris “CROM” Romulo back to the podcast. In this podcast the guys discuss CROM’s upcoming project called “An American Nakmuay in Thailand”, where he will be returning to Thailand after 12 years to train, learn, and discover more about Muay Thai and Thai culture, this time with his family in tow. Gastón is a down to earth, classy, and just all around good guy whose passion for Muay Thai is without question! We talk about how he wants to use Muay Thai to inspire and motivate those around him, and how in many ways inside the ring he may be “The Dreamkiller” but outside the ring he is looking to make other people’s dreams come true.
